The biggest fight in recent Canadian boxing history goes Saturday as former champs Lucian Bute and Jean Pascal battle for the vacant NABF light heavyweight title in Montreal.

Both men call Montreal home and the 22,000-seat Bell Centre is sold out for the battle of Bute, born in Romania, and Pascal, born in Haiti.

Pascal is a slight favorite according to sportsbook Bovada at -160 (5/8 odds). Bute would pay out as a slight 13/10 underdog (+130). The bout was slated to go off last May 25 but Bute underwent surgery for bone chips in his left hand.

Bute is 31-1 with 24 KOs. The southpaw is the former IBF Super Middleweight Champion. Pascal is 27-2-1 with 16 KOs and formerly held the WBC/The Ring Light Heavyweight Championship belt.
