Payton Talbott destroys Deiveson Figueiredo at UFC 332, sets sights on Sean OMalley
Payton Talbott is swiftly racking up the scalps of former UFC champions — and he already wants another.
Talbott added to his collection in spectacular fashion Saturday night at UFC 332, knocking out former two-time flyweight titleholder Deiveson Figueiredo with a dazzling offensive showcase in just two minutes inside Salt Lake City’s Delta Center.
Fighting for the first time since his December 2025 demolition of former two-division champion Henry Cejudo, Talbott (12-1) wasted zero time rediscovering his stand-up flow. The 28-year-old bantamweight contender sat Figueiredo (25-8-1) down in the opening 30 seconds with a nasty one-two on the button, then poured on the front-foot pressure and found a stoppage at 2:09 mark of the opening round with a blitzkrieg of looping punches.

Afterward, Talbott called his shot, targeting the same man he’s been often compared to throughout his UFC rise: former bantamweight champion Sean O’Malley.
“I just mopped the floor with two champions, back-to-back. And I want another one,” Talbott said. “Andrew Garfield — I mean, Sean O’Malley — you can’t run forever. Give the people what they want.”
With the win, Talbott pushes his UFC record to 6-1.
Figueiredo, 38, on the other hand, has now lost five of his past six bouts.
“I wish [the fight] lasted longer, I really wanted to feel that battle,” Talbott said. “It’s been so long, you know? But always fortunate to get out of there with, hopefully, a bonus and some nice cash.”
