A women’s flyweight title fight will headline UFC 332 on Oct. 3 LIVE on CBS and Paramount+ from inside Delta Center in Salt Lake City, Utah, as streaking contenders Natalia Silva and Wang Cong duke it out for the vacant strap.

This comes after UFC women’s flyweight queen Valentina Shevchenko was stripped of her title as she’ll be sidelined for the next year due to injury. UFC announced the news during Saturday’s UFC Paris broadcast.

Silva, 29, has been on an absolute tear since entering the promotion back in 2022. The Brazilian contender has turned in a perfect Octagon record of 8-0 with victories over former UFC champions like Rose Namajunas, Alexa Grasso, and Jessica Andrade. Silva has deserved this opportunity for quite some time and was originally booked to meet Shevchenko in the co-main event. Overall, she’s riding a 14-fight MMA win streak and should be the betting favorite atop UFC 332’s main card.

Cong, 34, has won her last fours trips to the Octagon since coughing up her lone MMA loss against Gabriella Fernandes back in 2024. Overall, the former kickboxing standout is 10-1 in her professional MMA career and continues to show improvements inside of the cage. Cong’s grappling may still have some holes in it, but she should fare well against an all-action fighter like Silva. In case you forgot, Cong holds a win over Shevchenko in kickboxing dating all the way back to 2015.
