The biggest fight in modern British boxing has finally been confirmed. Tyson Fury vs. Anthony Joshua. Two rivals. Two superstars battling for bragging rights. Only one winner when they collide on December 11 at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff, Wales.

Dana White and Eddie Hearn’s public feud intensified during the negotiations for the Fury vs. Joshua fight. Both sides clashed over their vision for what the battle between two of the UK’s best should be. And it looks like Hearn got his wish. The Matchroom Boxing promoter successfully anchored the bout to the UK, despite strong pushback from Fury’s side. Not only that, but Hearn also reportedly blacklisted White from having any involvement in promoting the super-fight.

Eddie Hearn was dead set on Dana White’s exclusion. But, according to Tyson Fury, White will be the promoter. Fury claimed he successfully stripped a clause from his contract that barred White’s involvement.

“He’s promoter, isn’t he? I think so, yeah,” Fury said. “So, after all of Eddie Hearn’s bum-smacking, and the ‘We only want it in England to get rid of Dana White.’ I’m sure it just got announced by Ring that Dana White and Ring are promoting this fight. How f***ing mad is that?”

Fury continued.

“I’m absolutely sure that I’ve just seen a post from Ring saying that Ring and Dana White are promoting this fight. But actually, in Joshua’s contract, apparently, it says that they can’t; TKO and Dana couldn’t be involved. That was in mine. But I took it out. I took it out so he could be involved. F*** ’em.”

Tyson Fury and Dana White have historically had a good relationship. The pair have publicly endorsed one another, and that bond strengthened when Fury pushed for White to promote his fight against Anthony Joshua.

“I want him involved. Two baldies together. I like Dana, good businessman. And a good guy. A man who came from nothing to being a billionaire, and look what he’s done with the UFC. Unbelievable.”

“I think he can do really well in boxing. Think he drives Eddie Hearn out, feeds him to the fishes.”
