Tyson Fury makes stunning reveal on Dana White promoting Anthony Joshua fight

Tyson Fury has revealed the reason behind Dana White's involvement in his upcoming blockbuster boxing match against Anthony Joshua.

For months, boxing promoters have debated when and where the Fury vs. Joshua fight would take place. UFC CEO Dana White said he would help make the fight happen, while Matchroom's Eddie Hearn stuck to his guns, saying White was contractually restricted from being involved in the promotion.

The fight is set for Dec. 11 at Principality Stadium in Cardiff, Wales, and will stream on Netflix. According to the official press release, Turki Alalshikh's The Ring and Dana White will co-promote the event. Hearn, who represents Joshua under Matchroom Boxing, and Fury's ties with Frank Warren and Queensberry were not mentioned. This prompted Hearn to call out the "f*ckery" surrounding the fight's promotion.

"So after all of Eddie Hearn's bum-smacking, and we only wanted it in England to get rid of Dana White, I'm sure it just got announced by Ring that Dana White and Ring are promoting this fight," Fury said on FurociTV. "How f*cking mad is that? Damn."

White and Hearn have butted heads many times recently, but in this battle, it appears White has won. Why? According to Fury, he's the reason behind it.

"In Joshua's contract, apparently, it says that TKO and Dana couldn't be involved, but that was in mine – but I took it out," Fury said. "I took it out so he could be involved. F*ck 'em. Yeah, I want him involved. Two baldies together. I like Dana. Good businessman and a good guy. A man who come from nothing to being a billionaire, and look what he's done with the UFC. Unbelievable. I think he can do really well in boxing. I think he drives Eddie Hearn out, feeds him to the fishes."

Fury clarified that he has no personal issues with Hearn; he's just promoting his opponent.

He acknowledged that there have been multiple changes to this fight over the past few months, including multiple location and date shifts. At each point, Fury agreed to the changes, but all the talk about the promoter drama is getting to him.

"It was all up to Turki and Netflix, and wherever they wanted to put it initially, they'd put it," Fury said. "That's all there is to it, really. It's not really about Eddie Hearn. It's not about Frank Warren. It's not about Dana White. It's not about Matchroom. It's not about Sky. It's not about anybody. It's about me and Joshua. All the promoters who are saying we done this, we done that, I helped get it here, I helped get it there – maybe they should get in the ring and fight each other on the night then, and we'll just be spectators and take our percentage out of their money.

"Eddie Hearn ain't risking his life. Frank Warren ain't risking his life. Me and Anthony Joshua are risking ours. When we go in there, we've both got a license to do damage to each other."
